Obituary of Roger A. Vreeland Sr.

Roger A. Vreeland, Sr. passed away suddenly Saturday, December 28, 2024 in the comfort of his Pine brook, NJ home with his loving wife at his side. He was 93.

Born in Montclair, NJ, Roger was a lifelong resident of the Pine Brook section of Montville, NJ. He met his sweetheart, the former Helen Flynn as children in Pine Brook in the same neighborhood where they still reside today. They were married on February 1, 1958 and have spent nearly 67 years together.

Mr. Vreeland proudly served in the United States Navy from 1951 until his honorable discharge in 1955. He had been stationed in the Meditteranian Sea.

He worked in sterile manufacturing with the Warner-Lamber (now Pfizer) Pharmaceutical Company of Morris Plains, NJ for 40 years before his retirement 28 years ago.

In addition to his wife Helen (nee Flynn) Vreeland; Roger is survived by his son Roger A. Vreeland, Jr. of Oak, Ridge, NJ. He was preceded in death by his parents, Nelson and Carrie (nee Dickman) Vreeland Sr.; and his two brothers, Nelson Vreeland Jr. and Lloyd Vreeland.
