Obituary of James Arthurs

James “Jimmy” Arthurs, 68, passed away peacefully on April 28, 2026, at Saint Clare's Hospital.

Born in Paterson to David and Alvina Arthurs, Jimmy was the youngest of three children. As a young man, he enjoyed his time in scouting, embracing the adventures and memories that stayed with him throughout his life. He received a Bachelor’s Degree from Montclair State
College.

Jimmy was fond of simple pleasures. He was a collector of train sets and could always be counted on to enjoy a McDonald’s cheeseburger any day of the week. He was an avid Green Bay Packers fan. He lived in Montville for many years and was employed by Hudson City Savings Bank before retiring.

He is survived by his brother David Arthurs, his wife Sandra ( D’Arnese) and his sister Gail Arthurs Gadgev (the late Konstantine.) He is also survived by his nephew, David Matthew Arthurs and his wife Tarsis (Aragao) .

Private arrangements were held under the direction of the S. J. Priola Parsippany Funeral Home. James will be laid to rest at Cedar Lawn Cemetery in the Arthurs family plot.
