Obituary of Kantaben S. Patel

Kantaben S. Patel passed away peacefully Sunday afternoon, April 26, 2026 at her Boonton, NJ home, surrounded by her loving family. She was 73.

Born and raised in Suva, Fiji, she immigrated to the United States in 1976, settling in Brooklyn, NY. More recently, she had been a resident of Boonton, NJ , where she lived with her daughter's family.

A loving wife, mother and grandmother, Mrs. Patel was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Suresh G. Patel in 2024; and her four brothers.

Kantaben is survived by her loving children, Chhaya Patel and her husband, Chirag of Boonton, NJ, and Jigar Patel and his wife, Miral of Long Grove, IL; two dear sisters, Manumasi Patel of New Zealand and Manjula Patel of Australia; and her four cherished grandchildren, Aidan Patel, Shrestha Patel, Heili Patel and Nirmani Patel.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Puja Funeral Service on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, 9:00am to 10:00am at S.J. Priola Parsippany Funeral Service, 60 North Beverwyck Road, Lake Hiawatha, NJ. Cremation will follow at 10:30am at Locust Hill Crematory, Dover, NJ.
