
Obituary of Jack Lubertazzi
Jack Lubertazzi, An amazing Husband, Father, Grandfather, Brother and Person.
Jack Lubertazzi died peacefully on September 25 th , surroundedby his family. He married Helene Mazur, (who he called Cookie) in 1967. Spending quality time with his two children was always a priority for him. His wife and him owned a sub shop / deli and catering business for many years.
Growing up as a child in Bloomfield, NJ, he was a talented athlete. He shared many stories and memories of playing stick ball with his friends. Jack moved to West Caldwell around the age of twelve where he continued to play sports throughout school and enjoying being with friends.
Jack was the rock of his family, devoted to providing a good life and creating countless happy memories. Known for his quick wit and incredible sense of humor, he would light up a room with laughter. He was Pop or Poppy to his grandchildren who adored him and he was so proud of them. He would do anything at any time for his family and loved nothing more than spending time with them. He enjoyed the countless summers in the back yard by the family pool, trying different restaurants, and vacationing at the Jersey shore.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Helene; his son Jack W. Lubertazzi; his daughter and son-in-law Kerry Lubertazzi-Turner and Joseph Fernandes; and his grandsons Nicholas Lubertazzi and Justin Turner. He is also survived by his sisters Constance Gross, Kathi Syrkin, and JoAnn Hempel. He was predeceased by his sister Carol Brooks.
Private arrangements were held under the direction of S.J. Priola Parsippany Funeral Service. A Memorial in Jack’s honor will be planned in the future.
